Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers

The shell and tube heat exchangers are to be preferred over other exchangers when one needs to exchange very large quantities of heat, as these kinds of exchangers usually have much larger heat exchange surfaces that other exchangers; these surfaces can even extend to tens of thousands of square metres.

Furthermore, as they are countercurrent heat exchangers, like plate heat exchangers, they have fairly high exchange coefficients.

The swhell and tube heat exchangers are used for water-oil, water-air and water-water applications.

  • 14 standard models in carbon steel with high efficiency finned thermal exchange tubes
  • Compatible fluids: mineral and synthetic oils, oil emulsions, glycol waters
  • Reduced bulk
  • Operating pressure of up to 12 bar
  • Operating temperature: oil side 120 °C, water side 90 °C
  • Inspectionable water circuit with 1, 2, 4 or 8 passages.
  • On request heat exchangers with CU, CuNi, Stainless Steel, titanium, copper tubes

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF “U” SHAPED WATER-AIR TUBE BUNDLE HEAT EXCHANGERS:

  • 59 models in carbon steel with “U” shaped stainless steel exchange tubes
  • All models have extractable tube bundles
  • Tube side: max. pressure 16 bar, max temperature 200 °C
  • Mantle side: max. pressure 10 bar, max temperature 99°C
  • Available in versions with materials such as titanium, carbon steel, copper
  • RINA, PED certification and other certifications on request
